Dr. Gilles Seguin Named Chair of Equestrian Canada’s Division C

February 28, 2022 – – Equestrian Canada announce the nine (9) Category C, National Equine Affiliate Organizations (NEOs) voting Members for Equestrian Canada for 2022 (April 1 to March 31, 2023).

CQHA’s 2022 president Dr. Gilles Seguin was selected as a voting member and also elected to chair the Division C committee.

Category C consists of National or Regional organizations that represent a particular area of equine interest where these organizations are not represented by another category of membership. The number of NEOs Affiliated with EC may change from year to year as each applies to EC on an annual basis. There are three types of Affiliate ; Industry Affiliate, Breed Associate Affiliate and Special Interest Affiliate each type has different criteria by which they join EC.

The nine (9) Category C Members with voting rights are designated according to the Category C Terms of Reference (TOR).

AQHA Appoints New Canadian Directors

Five new Canadian provincial AQHA directors were elected during the 2022 AQHA Convention in Las Vegas February 26- 28, 2022.
CQHA would like to congratulate:
  • CQHA President, Dr. Gilles Seguin representing Quebec.
  • Quarter Racing Owners of Ontario Inc., President, Bob Brodstock, representing Ontario.
  •  CQHA Breeder’s Committee member, Ryan Fleetwood, representing Alberta.
  • CQHA member, Bob Hawkins, representing Alberta.
  • CQHA Director, Andy Hellqvist, representing British Columbia.
The AQHA national and international directors are your elected representatives within AQHA, your local connection to AQHA leadership.
