OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Today marks the exciting start of competition at the 2025 AQHYA World Championship Show, held August 1–10 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. Representing Team Canada are some of the country’s most talented and dedicated youth riders, ready to showcase their skills on the world stage.
The AQHYA World Show features more than 5,050 entries across 37 U.S. states and four countries, including Canada, China, Brazil, and the United States. With over $1 million in prize money and an estimated economic impact of $5.9 million, the event stands as one of the largest and most prestigious youth competitions in the equine industry.
The Canadian Quarter Horse Association would like to thank Equestrian Canada for their generous sponsorship of cooling units to help ensure the wellbeing of our horses in the intense Oklahoma summer heat. Their support allows Team Canada to compete at their best while keeping equine welfare a top priority.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Aujourd’hui marque le début tant attendu des compétitions du Championnat mondial jeunesse de l’AQHYA 2025, qui se déroulent du 1er au 10 août au OKC Fairgrounds à Oklahoma City.
Représentant l’Équipe Canada, certains des jeunes cavaliers et cavalières les plus talentueux et dévoués du pays sont prêts à démontrer l’étendue de leurs compétences sur la scène internationale.
Le Championnat mondial jeunesse de l’AQHYA accueille plus de 5 050 inscriptions provenant de 37 États américains et de quatre pays, incluant le Canada, la Chine, le Brésil et les États-Unis. Avec plus d’un million de dollars en bourses et une retombée économique estimée à 5,9 millions de dollars, l’événement figure parmi les compétitions jeunesse les plus prestigieuses de l’industrie équestre.

Mackenzie Davidson & VS Tacks Jacket (Jack)
Hometown: Orangeville, ON
Catch Mackenzie and “Jack” in Level 2 and 3 Youth Western Pleasure 14–18. This team has achieved high-point titles and were finalists at the 2024 Congress.
“I am most looking forward to gaining experience and doing what I love with Jack.” – Mackenzie
Erin Duquette with Im The Greater Good (Boujee) & Better Have An Alibi (Rags)
Hometown: Glencoe, ON
Erin will show “Boujee” in Level 2 Hunter Under Saddle and “Rags” in Level 3 Hunter Under Saddle. This is Erin’s first trip to the AQHYA World Show, and she’s grateful for everything these horses have taught her.

Emily Firth & Not Too Lazy to Top (Frank)
Hometown: Langley, BC
Watch Emily and “Frank” compete in the Level 1 Championship of Champions for Showmanship, Equitation, and Horsemanship. Frank, a 2013 gelding by Lazy Loper, has become Emily’s most trusted partner.
Emily is also a proud member of the 2025 signing class to Delaware State University and will join their Division I Equestrian Team this fall.

Kaidyn Goodwin with Only One More Drink (Wesley) & Makinn Me Famous (Jake)
Hometown: Tusket, NS
Kaidyn will be showing “Wesley” in all-around events and “Jake” in Level 2 and 3 Hunter Under Saddle. She is closing out her youth career on a high note, having competed successfully at major shows across North America.

Ady Kallay & The Batchelor
Hometown: Drayton Valley, AB
Ady will be competing in Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Trail, and Western Riding across multiple divisions. With an exceptional track record that includes 21 APHA World Championships, 3 NSBA World titles, and top-10 Congress finishes,
Ady has signed with Texas A&M University and will join their prestigious NCAA Equestrian Team in Fall 2025.
Mackenzie Landry & One Tuff Red Head (Reba)
Hometown: Paris, ON
Catch this team in Level 3 13 & Under events for Horsemanship, Showmanship, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Trail, and Western Riding, as well as Level 2 13 & Under Trail and Western Riding. Mackenzie and “Reba “have been showing together since 2021 and were recently named Non-Pro Provincial Champions in Horsemanship and Bronze Champions at the Congress.

Stella Taylor & Who Whiz Hot Chocolat (a.k.a. Whooie)
Hometown: Tusket, NS
Watch Stella and “Whooie” in Level 2 and Level 3 Horsemanship. This marks their first season together as a team, and Stella is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compete at the AQHYA Youth World Show.
