The deadline to apply for an American Quarter Horse Foundation scholarship is December 1, 2020.

The deadline for 2021 American Quarter Horse Foundation scholarship applications is December 1, 2020. Applicants wishing to obtain scholarship funding from the Foundation for the 2021-22 academic year can download the scholarship guidelines for a complete list of criteria and requirements.

The Foundation awarded scholarships totaling more than $420,000 to 159 students for the 2020-21 academic year. Since its inception in 1976, the Foundation scholarship program has awarded more than $8.5 million in financial assistance to more than 1,500 young horse enthusiasts and industry members.

Nominations are Open

Please read Guidelines and Procedures for Election of Directors for CQHA Board of Directors on CQHA Website before completing this application form. 

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Must be received in the AQHA office on/before October 23, 2020 
  • Type or print in blue or black ink, or complete electronically using Microsoft Word; may not be altered or amended; and must be four (4) pages only. 
  • Utilize the space(s) provided; additional attachments will not be provided to the Nominations Committee. 
  • Submit a photo with your application; photo will not be returned. 
  • Letters of recommendation should be sent directly toCQHA from the providing referee, individual, etc. and received prior to November 1, to be provided to the Nominations Committee CQHA.  
  • Unless otherwise indicated by applicant, application is submitted for Elected Director position created by a vacancy or new opening per Director allocation.

AGM 2021 Notice

Annual General Meeting 2021

NOVEMBER 24, 2020 | 7:00PM

This is a VIRTUAL MEETING

The 2021 Canadian Quarter Horse Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been set for Tuesday December 1, 2021 at 7 pm EST. and will be held via virtual meeting using ZOOM with the CQHA Board of Directors and the CQHA members. Our objective is to reach as many Quarter Horse members of the Quarter Horse Community as possible.

As you know, the AGM follows a very specific agenda. Therefore, the community is encouraged to tune in to the AGM via CQHA Website Livestream for viewing privileges. CQHA encourages the Canadian Quarter Horse community to get involved. Become a CQHA member it is easy to do and free and will give access to the AGM deliberations and other CQHA programs. Your membership will provide you with the right to vote. More details and related documents will be published in November.
